As mentioned elsewhere on the tumblr:
Women are considered equal in status to men. They can inherit titles, own their own property, etc. However, men and women are still regarded as “different.” Men are considered warriors and protectors while women are supposed to be more family-oriented. So, yeah, it’s a bit better off than in Westeros or medieval times (read: whoever is firstborn will inherit regardless of sex), but there’s still that element of behavioral expectation (not that everyone follows it, of course).
Guys, I’d appreciate it if you have any questions to please look at older questions and look through the numerous previews I’ve already posted. While I really do appreciate the interest, the staff are working hard on apps and finishing everything on the site, and repeated questions aren’t helping much.
You can make your reservation as a guest, yeah.
I guess this is a good time to explain what you can/can’t make at the beginning of the site. Yes, you can make a character who is from any part of the hierarchy, but if you want a character who is directly related to the high noble families (royalty, region keepers, and province keepers), you have to take a character from the canon list. That said, highborn nobles can obviously be scholars or kingsguard or whatever, it doesn’t have to be an original character. Right now we aren’t accepting characters from minor houses unless they’re on the canon list (they’re there due to marriage ties).
Reserves last for three days and only one reserve is permitted per person at a time. Re-reserves are allowed, but if you reserve multiple times without making progress, your reserve will be deleted.
Royal family only! For the other houses, you can do what you want as long as you take the house description into account (speaking of which, a few of those are probably going to get tweaked in light of the finished canons).
IDK yet, but I’ll post when I know. Sorry if I end up shattering dreams by doing that but srs this is a hard decision 8(
See here. While there are probably still various wandering tribes in Avelon (not just in the West), there wouldn’t be much point in playing them since they’d be very detached from everything else.
Let’s just say it’s harder when you know what’s on the canon list )8 But I’ll post if/when I decide!
